| Hi all!
I want to prepare the CCNP exam and I would like to know which books are better.
I could get the Sybex books for all of the exams, and could get also:
- Cisco CCNP Switching exam Certification guide by Tim Boyles ...
- Cisco CCNP Remote Access exam Certification guide by Brian Morgan
- Cisco CCNP Support exam Certification guide by Amir S, Ranjbar
I can not get the "Catherine Paquet's" BSCN book and neither the "Karen Web's" BCMSN book.
Is it worthy to buy them if I can get the others for free? Are they necessary to pass the exam?

The exams which I have used the exam cert guides have been the easiest - so I would say use them. When you say you can not get some books do you mean you'd have to pay?? I'd certainly recommend buying them if you can.
coriolis are selling books at 75% off because they've gone bust - but I think theyre sending out dodgy books, one had 40 pages missing!! | |

| Cisco Press ALMOST everytime. It's actually a good thing that you apparently can't get a hold of Karen Webb's book. It's horrid. I have yet to meet one person who likes this book. Her writing style is dry as hell. Many of the subjects are covered multiple times, and there is very little decent organization to her style.

| I wanted to buy the Building Scalable Cisco Networks By Catherine Paquet and Dian Teare because everyone said it was the best. The book costs $60.00 and I realy did not want to by it for that. I bought the Sybex routing bokk and I have not been that happy with it. I went on Amazon and ordered it from the used books section for $11.00 I paid extra for fast shipping and I just got it today.....The book is brand new it smells new and looks new. I could have not made a better buy. This is a book that will be worth more to me that just an exam pass. I will be the first to say that if you read a text book like this it is impossible to remember everything and thats why it is good to have a book like this because you can use it for referance. My 2 cents |
