Got my BCMSN done.

| Well went & took the BCMSN. Knocked it out in 40 minutes. I was sweating there for a lil bit. But after seeing that congrats window pop up, it was all good.
So i went in there thinking that i wuld get hammered by a bunch of command questions, but i didnt. I was banking on that to get me thru the test, since i practice labs everyday for a cpl of hours.
That was a surprise to me, also, did not get a single acl type question, well only one.
Time to move on to CIT & then i ll be a CCNP.

| hey nice work mate !
i am plannin to take exam in 2 weeks time. can u give me the format of the exam, how many qts.
is the test easier than routing? i passed routing on friday. for the switching i am using todd lammle, boson tests, e-book. and a few other notes and questions.
is that going to be enough ?
good luck for ur last paper, just get it out of the way quickly so u can be relieved!!! | |

| This is my first posting to this forum. Well, I am also pursuing CCNP too and took my first exam (BCMSN) last Friday. Did well with score of 957. Passing mark was 699, 79 questions, 2 hours long.
There was no question on HSRP, lots of questions on MLS and Multicast, especially cgmp. Also lots on VTP and trunking with dot1q (nothing on ISL).
The Sybex Study Guide seems to be sufficient.
Good luck to all.

| Thanks yall. Well to answer yur question Javed, i think bmunyati02 has pretty much said it for me also. There werent any HSRP questions on the test. Overall it wasnt that hard, i think i was just panicking like i usually do, cuz i know when i have answered a question rite or wrong. Btw i got a 889 on the test.
I only read the Cisco press books, only cuz i got them for free & dont have to pay for them. I think it was a lil harder then routing for me, becuz i expect a lot of commands related questions like whats the rite command, & since i practice a lot of labs, i thought i would get a bunch on this test but nope i was wrong. Only got like 5 of them.....
I dont know bout the Todd L book, but forom what u say, looks like u got it all ready to go.
Good Luck. | |
