| I'm taking CCNP routing in a week. Any last remarks I should take in consideration. Beyond the BIG 3 I mean.... I've used Cisco Press, Boson, and Beachfront. Beachfront I like because you can break down the test in sections.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks! | |

| I passed mine Monday just gone and apart from the usual BGP (10 questions) eigrp (8 questions) & OSPF (25 questions) I had about 5 or 6 on IPX (Which I didn't revise) about 5 on route redistribution and a lucky for me I had about 10 on extending IP addresses and summarising addresses.
The pass mark is still 690
you could try:

I was recommended this last week and has some good test links on it.
Have you done the switching exam yet as I have that in a few weeks.
Good luck on Monday | |

| I haven't taken switching yet. But I do know somebody who has failed it so be careful. On routing did you use Cisco Press or Sybex? | |
|

| Just my opinion, but the Sybex routing by Lammle, Odom and Wallace, was about the worst rag I've read. Seemed to me that they just rushed this out and didn't give much time to it. Maybe Sybex was pressuring them for it, but it certainly wasn't worth the money I paid for it. On the other hand, Clare Gough's book from Cisco Press was worth the price and what was exactly needed for the exam. Someone else may feel differently, so . . . | |

| I feel you there.. I read the Sybex book first.. half of it at least before I found my Cisco Press PDF. Truly a lack of detail and depth in Sybex. Almost like a Cram Series compared to Cisco Press which so far has been much more in depth and informative. | |

| I used the Cisco press books but also went on a weeks training course with an external company which gives you a free retest if you fail the exam (as long as you wait two weeks from taking the course. |
