My test was a fairly even mixture of all the topics in the cisco press book. There are a few protocal analyzer out puts and I had about 5 type in commands,...very simple basic stuff. For me this was actually one of the easier tests because many of the questions are general networking questions.
I would recommend reading the cisco press book and using boson test #2.

- u have to know the debug command apply on layer2,layer3 or all 3 layers.(give u a exhibit diagram)
- same Frame relay will come out the same scenario as well.
- appletalk,novell has few question.

Know your Catalyst 5000 basics and Vlans from your switching test. There is a diagram in both of the Cisco Press books that tells you which show and debug commands go where when troubleshooting ISDN, make sure you memorize it as well as the steps in the problem solving model; seeing as Cisco says right in the book that you need to memorize those diagrams, I don't think I am violating the NDA by telling you that. The configuration and protocol analyzer output questions were really basic so I wouldn't sweat them too much; I was a little concerned about them after studying them in the CIT book but the examples on the test were easy.

Just wanted to add my congrats for Jane55. I know how hard you have been working on this. Now maybe you can relax a bit. I thought I would after getting my NP, but found it strange not having a book in hand.

Good luck and continued success.

After starting my study on CIT last week, I realized how much of the syllabus I already know from the previous courses and troubleshooting at work. Took a chance and rescheduled the exam for this afternoon. Passed it with an 892.

I'm a CCNP now! Woohoo! On to CSS1 and CCIE R&S.

About the passing scores... were they based on the scale of 300 points of 1000 just like CCNA and CCDA??
