CCNP - x.25 over D channel

hello everybody,

wonder if anyone could tell me the scenarios that would warrant the use of x.25 over D channel. The throughput is not staggeringly fast; 9.6 Kbps from what ive read.

x.25 was made in those days when media was not reliable so they make x25 for reliable delivery though it is slow . Now adays companies are using frame-relay which is next generation of x.25 and even more faster .
