| For all CCNP's working in the field, could you tell me exactly what are the major responsibilities of a CCNP and what other experience/certifications do you need along with the CCNP?
Thanks in advance. | |

| It depends on the company also . In Wan admin job you mostly have to work with ATM , ISDN , X.25 , SDH , DSL , Frame Relay and many more . Lan admin jobs mostly include switching & routing with some OS knowledge and this could also include in WAN admin job . If you are system engineer or network engineer then you need to know all LAN & WAN stuff . | |

| Lack of experience and thats why i tell everybody don't give exams by reading exam questions/dumps/tracscenders . Read the books as much as you can so this will help you in the exam as well in your field too . | |

| From my experience in the field, I have definitely gained in $$$, however, not much on experience. Although when interviewing, the interviewer may tell me all the things that I will be involved in, however, when you get the job, its not quite what they say. Nope, not blaming the interviwer, only myself for not asking all the right questions.
Thanks again for the information. | |

| o2baccie i agree with you that what you expect you don't get that . But behind this their could be many reasons . May be other engineers don't want you to learn anything more then them so you could be danger for them in the future or may be company does not have much business . Or they don't trust you that you can finish this task . | |

| haseeb_eng, I totally agree. It is true after being employed by an organization, I often find that it is only at this time do they tell you how limited they are in contracts as well as aspects of that contract. In other words, their not half as important or needed as they led me to believe they were. Which leaves me working at a dead end job. | |

| I study for the CCIE and have no life.
In my spare time I work a job, mow my lawn and feed the dogs. |
