| Does anybody know where I can get a few routers for a relatively cheap price. I did the CCNA on my own w/o any hands on, but for CCNP on my own, i'm gonna need some hands on. Thanks. | |

| www.ebay.com is probably your cheapest easiest option. Just do a search on cisco | |

| You might want to try Cisco interactive mentor, Expert labs for Routing, LAN switching for switching, not sure what to use for the other 2 but it might be a bit cheaper than getting even second hand routers | |

| Hey Scoulter,
have you used CIM? is it any better than Sybex e-trainer? need to know before i spend my bucks on either one. hehehe. i personally think nothing beats even a second hand router
Thanks. | |

| hey chetandesai
yeah I've used it, you're right, nothing beats a router for practice and working up your own labs, but for the outlay, you may find that the information you glean from CIM would tip you over the edge knowledge and exam wise. the drawback with cim is that it doesn't support all commmands. I haven't used the other package.
send me an email for more details | |

| There are quite a few online labs which give you time on actual routers/switches and have simulators for ISDN etc.
It would probably be worth you investing a couple of hundred dollars in this, no big initial outlay and you only pay for exactly what you need - just plan what your doing first so you don't waste time.
There was a post recently about online labs you may want to search for. |
