I just passed the CCNA today. I was wondering with which CCNP test I should start. Do I have to take them in a certain order?

hello mcorpuz,

congrats on your CCNA, well done!

CCNP exams can be taken in any order and it depends on your current skill levels where you start.

I took the exams in 'number order', as specified by Cisco...503 routing, 504 switching, 505 remote access, 506 troubleshooting.

Switching was easier than routing for me, but there are some parts of switching that refer to subjects covered in the routing exam so I was glad that I'd done that one first.

If you have some practical experience then you could take the exams in any order that you wished.

It appears that Cisco are in the process of upgrading the exams and the current set of books may not fully cover the new exams...for this reason I'd probably buy my books one at a time if I was starting out now.

Regards
Peter
