| COuld somebody tell me what the good Boson tests to buy for the BSCN? I heard that one is better than the other. I finished reading through the prep book and signed up for my test, but I want to get a good quiz engine to make sure I am ready and find my weaknesses. | |

| To be honest Boson test are not that good. I've seen the Boson test v3.32 or something like that and I don't think they are that good.
I would recomend Transcender, Selftest Software and if you could get hold of some Cheet Sheets( they are briliant, they actualy are exact questions that came up on the exams.
I am saying this cos afriend of mine studied the Boson and he failed, when he took it for the second time he passed thanks to Transcender.

| Boson was awasome! I used all 3 test! | |
|
| I agree, Boson are good.
I used all three, but found 1 & 3 the best - though they weren't as close as past tests I have done - don't rely on them too much (unfortunately I did!).
As for Transcender - I used them for MS and they were good, but for CCNA they were awful, I can't comment on the CCNP tests - stick with Boson seems to be the common consensus.
Tirtsa - why bother with any study aid if you have the actual questions, in fact why bother studying??

| To Mat P
Well there is no need to be sarcastic Mat P. I was merely sugesting that it would be a good help if people could get hold of those so called Cheet Sheets.
As for not bothering to study, you're wrong there again because Cheet Sheets contain only about 100 questions in total and I belive that Ciscos pool of questions for a certain exam is substantialy bigger than 100.
Again I would not recomend Boson practise exams, at least not for BSCN exam.
Have fun! | |

| It's hit or miss with Bosun. On my test I personally didn't have too many similar questions. However, other people have told me test #1 really helped them. The only complaint I have for them is some of the test questions drill down too deeply into details, where the real questions are more ambiguous. That's probably where the differing opinions come in. Some people might get those specific questions and some not.
I like to have 2 or 3 different types of exams. I think Transcenders are too expensive. There are plenty of other places that provide great material for much much less. You can buy about 3 different tests for each Transcender.
I've used a mix of Bosun, Exam passer, Troy, and Transcender. It certainly helps when the company will pick up the tab. I can get whatever I want and drown myself. Woo hoo.

| I use Boson to test my knowledge of what I have learnt not to pass the test. I don't care if it isn't word for word of the exam as long as it covers the topics covered in the Cisco curriculum - if I did then I would buy Cheet Sheets which I will never do. | |

| I use Boson for all my Cisco and Comptia exams and I use Transcenders for MS. At least until lately and I have added cert21 to the mix. As to your actual question on BSCN I would get both 1 and 3. 2 isn't very good but 1 probably was the best. |
