A Flash question!!
|

|
| Hi Guys,
I was wondering if anyone out there has got a cisco PCMCIA card working in their laptop. The idea being I can quickly take the flash card from a router that has just been setup, plug the flash card into my laptop and do a final backup of IOS and config files before it goes out for installation.
I have had problems getting windows 98SE to recognise the flash card and can't find drivers on the web. (Flash card from 1600 and 1000) I have tried installing the standard "MTD" drivers in windows but I thought the card would appear in Explorer which it doesn't.
I know this is a bit off the track, but can anyone help me with this one - It would be really helpfull if I can get this working!!

| Why don't you use a TFTP server instead? You can also copy IOS image and configuration to TFTP server as well. | |
|
| Yeah at the moment I tftp evrything across it is just so time consuming when I have half a dozen routers going out the door. Checking doco to find out ip addresses - change ip on laptop, tftp etc... When I could just pull out a flash card, chuck it in and copy!
Oh Welll.....
Cheerz,

| just because it's pcmcia memory card doesn't mean
windoze can read it.
you may be able to get to it with some type of low level format, but it won't matter ; the two formats are most likely not interchangable. |
