| Yes i am CCNP but i asking about Convention of BGP may be some body have good discription about it more than Cisco Papers so some body have Experience with BGP more than 3 years only with BGP so i can understand from advice of him more things not only what Cisco type and you and other people can read it ?
GooD Luck i think Routing Exam very hard not easy if you can read brain dumps told me from where so i search for it untill now if you are ready to present any exam i try to help you ......

| BGP stands for Border Gateway Protocol and is exactly that. In a large number of cases when you are not an ISP, you use BGP to connect to an ISP. Why?? There is a number of different controls and traffic shaping capabilities that you can use for BGP that enable you to manage traffic load per destination, traffic load balancing, traffic fail-over for multi-honed networks and it allows you to have more control over your network as a whole from the outside in and the inside out.
I can't get more basic then that. Usually from the rule of thumb, if you don't know if you need it or not, then you don't. If you are not an ISP and you don't use it then there is no need to complicate your network with this bulky protocol. Usually this would end up being a requirement of some sort from a provider to you that you enable BGP on your border routers (if you own them) with their ASN settings that they will provide you. If you don't know what an ASN is, don't deploy BGP. |
