| Dear all:
I was noticed that Cisco update its CCNP exams from 640-5xx to 640-6xx, but I only have some 640-5xx material for preparing, do you think I can pass the 640-6xx exams with these old stuff? another thing is using 640-603 for 640-901. Is that okay?
Thank you! | |

| Most of the material will be the same, but I still would go for the ICND book for the new test... | |

| All the material you have is just fine. I am infact using the old 640-50x Cisco Press books for my 640-60x CCNP/CCDP exams. I am on my final leg here with just BCSI to go to finish both certs. They are great books!!!
Ok, the only thing you need to know is that the 640-901 exam will contain IS-IS questions. The current BSCI book doesn't contain a chapter on IS-IS. You need to download the free IS-IS pdf from the cisco site and read that to get you up to speed with understanding and configuring IS-IS.
Best of luck!
cheers,
