| Just passed the CIT exam (640-606). I am a fully certified CCNP!!!! Just a heads up, the CIT exam was by far the most difficult of the bunch! Not sure what being a CCNP will bring but ready to find out! | |

| Good job on you, sport!
Maybe you can shed a little light on the CIT and what made it so difficult... from my standpoint I would have thought it to be one of the more fundamental of the exams, seeing as how much of it deals with on-hands knowledge. Did it cover a good deal of peripheral technology, i.e. AppleTalk, Token Ring, IPX/SPX and the like?
CIT is supposed to be my next test, and I need to know if I should refocus my efforts.
TIA-

| Hello,
the CIT has questions worded in a strange way, where none of the answers seem to make sense, and this is what makes it difficult for some people.
I presume they're not trying to find out what you know (the first three exams did that) but how you apply what you know.
If you've had any experience with fault-finding on networks (or telephones or PC's, whatever) and you can deduce logically what they're looking for, then this exam will be easy for you.
Regards
