For anyone that has taken the 604 switching exam, do you know if there is any ISL on that exam? Also I am curious as to what else was really changed? For the Cisco Fundamentals section, should I bother learning all the old hardware, or is knowing the new stuff alright? Lastly, is there anything else I should worry about.

Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

Why dont you just "learn" ISL and everything else in your study guide instead of asking what is on the test.

To my knowledge ISL is old and outdated, why learn something antiquated? I think you need to worry about your own problems and allow me to worry about mine =)

I'm preparing for 604 too. I think I'm gonna study ISL also together with 802.1q. Don't think there's much different. Where do you think I can get good study guide?

ISL may not be the "standard" but there are thousands of networks that still use it.

Do you want to tell your client "Sorry you are not using the latest and greatest trunking protocol, I can't help you"?
