in 3640 router i had installed Nm-1FE2W(1 fastethernet and 2 wan slot ) module but the router does not reongnizes it . I had checked other modules are working fine i had changed the slot also but also same problem . It seems that there is some problem with the module itself . I will paste router's reboot message and shopw version also please have a look and tell me what could be the possible problem if network module is ok .

The modular port adapter or service module is not recognized by the software. Use the Software Advisor to find which software version is supporting that port adapter.

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/63/tool_links.shtml

This shows that the minimum supported software for a NM-1FE2W running on a 3600p series router is one of the following

12.0(7)XK, 12.1(1)T, 12.1(5)YB, 12.1(5)YD, 12.2(1), 12.2(2)T, 12.2(2)XT, 12.2(8)T, 12.2(11)T1

You need to upgrade the software on your router

Hope this helps
