I have only used Sybex for CCNA, Routing, and Switching. I have passed all of these so far. My lowest score was on the Routing. Someone once said this to me about the Sybex routing book: "I was in the middle of a chapter, mid page and had no idea what I was reading about." This was somewhere in the BGP section. So while I can not say which book is better, I know which one will make your brain bleed.
Good Luck!
