| Hello all has anyone configure a cisco pix 515 and allow windows pc to connect to it?
thanks
i have configured the pix cisco firewall for firewall and vpn access but the vpn part is not working the client get an "error 721" message.
if i do a debug on the router, i can see the client sending packets but the router is not sending , the debugging session ends like this--"destroying tunnel"
thank you much. | |

| How are you trying to accomplish this?? Are you using Microsoft VPN or IPSec or some other method?? Do you have a NAT in operation? If so is it overloaded? Have you checked your access lists to determine what is going on? Are you using an external CA with PKI? What configuration are you using? What version of Windows? Does it work without the VPN enabled??
As you can see, there needs to be a little more information then, it isn't working with Windows.
I am sure that everyone here is willing to help but that is just barely enough information to get the saliva going.
Probably the best thing to do if you don't have the time to put up all that information is to put together a lab and get your theory to work there first, then you can determine what problems you have later in the production environment. Tinkering is the key and the method is 'necessity'. Great combination for anyone! | |

| Yo, thanks man, I got it figured out,
it was a NAT/Access List issue.
a client cannot sit behind a nat and using the VPN, but it works if i setup a one to one NAT, or a regular Public IP.
thanks much |
