| Hello everyone, this is my very first post in the forum. I hope someone can help me..
I've completed my CCNP on 30/8/2001 and I checked the Cisco tracking system that the cert has been mailed at 6/9/2001. However, I still haven't received the cert. I am kinda worried about that and dunno what should I do...
Can anyone help me on this....Thanks very much....

| Did the finished the CCNA exam?
if not then Cisco wont mail u the CCNP cert. to u unless u complete CCNA, because it is a prerequisites for CCNP. Otherwise u send mail to cisco and ask them.

| Yep, I have completed the CCNA and the cert mailed to me with no problem...
I guess I have to mail Cisco then...
Thanks for your reply...

| Which text u use for the exam?
and what material u used?
Are the exam hard? | |

| I used Sybex books...but I heard that Cisco Press books are better....
I found that routing and remote access are hard for me....the scores were on the edge...
Switching was the easiest I think...

Anyways did u used any Virtual Lab for the exam? Are u going to take CCIE???

| re: Ken,
Nope, I didn't use virtual lab...
CCIE...mm...I don't have the money to do it...It's too expensive for me...So probably after CCDP, I'll do some other certs other than Cisco...
Which cert is good for getting a job?...

| I think the basic are the MCSE and SCSA. Because i saw mant co. used either Unix, Novell or MS platform. Do u have icq? | |

| On your passing sheet it identifies a web site and a password to goto in order to 'sign' the Cisco Confidentiality agreement. Untill you do this you will not get your certificate. So make sure that you did, if you did you will remeber. I don't remeber how but the instructions are on the printed sheet that you got when you passed. Should have a brigh red stamp on the front that says, 'Don't loose this report'

| Have to excuse, haven't slept in a couple of days, thought that I was in the CCNA forum for some reason.
As for the problem, I never got my CCNA cert, didn't really care too much. Sometimes they mess things up. On the site it said that it was mailed, never returned to the Cisco. Personally would have liked it but in the same boat as you, no number or contact point to fix it on the Cert site. Have a few firends that work for Cisco in the Silicone Valley, hopefully they can give me an answer.
If I do find the answer, will post. Good luck to both of us.
