| There were 61 questions to complete in 105 minutes and I passed with 965. So I had 3 fails.
I was surprised to have a lot of EIGRP questions as most people said in this forum that 50% of the exam was BGP and a high percentage of OSPF. I still had a lot of BGP questions but very basic ones. I remember some questions about OSPF NBMA.
During the exam I was not sure to pass,as always. Some questions were very badly worded.
Conclusion: I think that the worst part is having to read that big Cisco Press book.
I used BSCN Cisco Press book,Self test software, XXXXXXXXXX (I just had time to do 80 questions out of 180. not bad stuff)CertificationZonepapers and questions (this is a high class Web Page for people wanting to learn Cisco technologies)
2 away from the CCNP and going for Switching. | |

| richard21,
hey congrats, just took mine today and i scored a 954. i'm feeling ecstatic!!! unlike your exam, i got loadsa bgp, ospf, and surprisingly VLSM .... like 6 questions ... a lot of command based questions where u have to pick it from a list but its quite basic. i had one weird question though:
something like what would happen if all interfaces in Area 0 was Frame Relay
a. no LSA type 5 would be propagated
b. no external route summary
c. information about the change would be propagated to other routers and... its a long answer and i forgot the rest of it
d. u cant do this becoz its expensive ... something along those lines ...
i totally recommend Routing TCP/IP Vols 1 and 2 ..... it is the best prep tool that i used for the exam .... and i learnt alot (not just for the sake of passing the exam) truck loads of cofiguration examples makes understanding a walk in the park!
ive got the Routing 2.0 cert guide by cisco press and i felt that the author could have done alot better. i used it as a rough guide for my initial studying. even the articles from cisco.com were much better. test Qs on the cd were ok .... and other free test Qs that i could get my hands on from the Net. |
