| Hi,
go for it!
You've done your studying, you know the subject, you know you can do it...
don't let anything 'throw' you, concentrate for around one hour, and come out a winner!

| Have mine on Saturday. Talk about sucken, think that my mind is going to explode from having to memorize all these commands for set based switches and Multi-Cast. Although the Cisco Press Book is much smaller for this one, twice as much new stuff as opposed to routing. Think that they put multi-cast in here just to give the test some teeth.
Anyhow, good luck to the both of us, would sure hate to have to take it again. Then again, what to look forward to?? Remote Access and Support. Anyhow, one step closer to the finish line. | |

| Hi depamo,
I started looking at Remote Access last week and I'm up to chapter 6 on the Ciscopress already...
it's a piece of cake. Well, so far anyway!
Don't worry about the BCMSN command questions. If your test is anything like mine it'll ask quite a few but mostly they give you four or five answers to select from. You'll have no problems picking the correct answer.

Peter D - Thanks for the advice, I sure hope your right. I'm planning on booking the exam for next thursday, providing I don't get any work to do in the next couple of days.
My only two worries are commands - I'm pretty certain if i'm given options I'll be able to weed out the stupid answers however if I have to type any complicated commands in I'll be lost!! My other worry is multicasting, but I feel confident I'll get there eventually - I'm OK on dense/sparse, IGMP/CGMP but struggling on the rest!!
A whole weekend of memorising commands ahead of me!!!
Good luck Daharmaster, Ramlax and Depamo with your exams and keep us posted.

| What is the number of BCMSN exam questions and the passing score ? | |
| Daharmaster 2001-09-07, 3:17 pm |
| I passed with 934 today
Wasn't really quite , what I expected
1)You can score lots of points , by studying Prtfast / Uplinkfast / Backbonefast (Don't worry too much about detail , just know what each one does , and how to Enable AND VIEW
2)Some questions are repeated , so you can score double points
3)There , were a few troubleshooting questions that were , plain nasty , so go check out troubleshooting and catalyst 5000 led location , and what led's stand for
4)Know Basic Commmand's off by heart like enabling Mls , setting spantree
5)Some Questions Are seriously hard , but don't despair . BASIC cli/ios theory will ease you up into the High 80's
Exam
65 Questions
75 To Pass (Gre 300-1000)
