| I need an opinion of this book.
Has anyone here used it. What are your thoughts on this Coriolis title?

| I've heard it was disappointing and not all that useful. Before I took a summer break for studying, I was using Bosun and Exam Passer. They were both good for Routing and Switching. Exam Cram books for both subjects were ok at best. | |

I used it along with cisco press materials. The exam cram is NOT enough to pass the exam ( go with cisco press books as main study guides ).
With that being said, I did find it good for review. Although the questions in the book were lite compared to the exam, they were useful in drilling my knowledge. I found it useful and do not regret purchasing it. I passed the first time.

| Thanx for the responses CardShark and ea.
I have the cisco press ccnp preparation library and wanted to supplement with another small book such as an exam cram or exam notes title for each test.

| I have had great success with the Sybex Notes on the Exam. Pretty cheap and they have one that covers all the exams. Down to earth, lets you know where to concentrate and what to know for the test. It is great to augment the Cisco Press Books but shouldn't be used by itself.
Soft-cover book, about 100-150 pages per exam with good information and direct no-nonsense approach to exam preperation. You have to understand the book before reading the concise material in here but it is really good.
Here is what I am talking about-

I wouldn't buy it from here since I cannot tell if it is the 500 series exam books but they are not hard to find from most big book stores.

| i used all 4 exam cram books for ccnp
though i would not recommend it
routing (barely passed) mostly my own fault
i studied 3 weeks
switching did well (i work mostly with switches
and user connectivity)
remote access (worked for isp's from 96-99)
helped a lot
support (again isp experience carried me)
answer is it depends on your experience level
if you are new to networking i would go with
cisco, sybex , exam cram in that order
