Passed CIT new CCNP

| I passed CIT this afternoon. It was the toughest test for me of the 4. I have now completed my CCNP. My plans are CID test next. I made the mistake of taking the CCDA immediately after my CCNA instead of waiting until I had finished the CCNP. It would have been a lot easier.
I haven't contributed much here, but I do check and read every day without fail.
Thanks

| Congrats on completing CCNP.
Like you I did the same thing after passing CCNA-went for CCDA (got butt kicked)
Now I'm starting CCNP...
What materials did you use\can recommend?

| The one thing above all else, I recommend the Cisco Press books, not the certification guides, the real books. I have never found them boring, and they cover in great detail the material you need to know for the tests.
There is one exception to that. For the routing test, I purchased the Halabi book to supplement BGP. It's a great book.
I also used the Boson and Transcender exams. I had already passed two of the exams by the time I got a chance to see the Transcenders though.
I work on a fairly large WAN, however we don't have any cisco equipment. All Nortel routers and switches. It's interesting, because the two aren't that much different, I get the commands confused at times, but sending a packet through a network is still the same, it doesn't matter what intermediary piece of equipment you use to route that packet. To me, networking is networking, not matter what equipment you're using.
Hope that helps,
