I just finished the CCNA, can I take the CCNP or are their prerequisite tests before?

Hi,

you've just done the pre-requisite...

no, not asking the question in the forum, passing the CCNA!

When you say, 'can I take the CCNP', you do know that it's actually four separate exams (unless you do one big nasty one that covers three topics and then take the CIT to finish off).

The recommended actions are to take the exams in order: routing, switching, remote access and troubleshooting, but you can choose any order that you wish.

Also highly recommended is the Cisco Press 'Preparation' books and Boson practice tests.
You can also find loads of study material on Cisco's site, and around the internet, by searching for particular topics, ie BGP, OSPF, MLS, etc.

Peter
