About a month ago I posted newbie question asking about the best study guide resources, since this site decided to filter my message I went else were to find my answer. I ultimately decide on the CCNP Study Guide from E X A M P A S S E R .com. This site is doing an injustice to it’s members by filtering their URL as well as other I assume. I know they want to cry foul play and that spamming is envolved. But so what, do you really think all those post about Boson really come from Boson users or are they really employees. Who cares, I going to buy what works. I studied the Exam Passer material and the Cisco Press routing book and PAST IN THREE weeks! So all I can say is, for those that what to remain loyal to this site can kept floundering around looking for help that isn’t going to come, or you can go out and spend the 24.99 on the exam passer guide and jump on the fast track before Cisco discontinues the CCNP.

Cisco is beta testing exams for the new CCIP that is geared towards service provider support. They also recently discontinued the CCNP specialties for the Qualified Specialist exams. It's only my hunch that they will soon combine all of them into one cert. It just seems to be the Cisco way.

I'm sorry you feel that your previous post was filtered. I did a search for your other posts and don't see anything that I would have deleted.

As far as Cisco getting rid of the CCNP, I don't think so. At least not anytime soon. The specializations just had a change in their requiremnets that do not effect the viability of the CCNP cert. If you have more than a hunch, I would like to see it before investing more of my time getting to IE.

****Not only are their questions useless they are also a scam.*****

Since you're so confidient about them would you enquire of them why they cancelled my $74.00 membership?
I believe because I admitted that I use their CCNP questions and they didn't help.

As you know they issued a login password that their members cannot changed. They erraticated my password so I can't login.

I've seen the gaspasser.com questions and I agree that they suck. I'm not trying to be a jerk and if I am wrong then I apologize to bhartz; that post just seems a little suspicious to me.

With testimonials like that, who needs to filter out the post?

I did post a couple of items here on this site purely for assisting people to get the materials that they needed to pass the exmas but I am a network manager and have no interests in those organizations.

One was for cheap books, ($5.00 a book was a good thing to put out) and the other was for the Boson exams.

If you would read some of these, I don't state that you can cheat with them, they direct your studying and get you in the right state of mind for the exam (question types).

Seems what you are trying to sell of is another example for increasing the paper certifications out there flooding the market with inexperienced people that couldn't operate a hub with confidence. For that I thank you for helping to deflate my certificaion that I spend time and money to get the old fashioned way, I learn and understand it.

As far as the CCNP. From personal knowledge, I don't think that they will be going away too soon. You are right that specalizations are moving to their own certifications but the core CCNP will be there for quite some time.

The more certs Cisco has, the more money they'll make. And in these times I would want other revenue. How long before they canel Networkers or at least all the free food and drink?

Why would they cancel your membership? Ever try asking them? I use a whole bunch of study guides and I find the more I use the better. They all come from a different angle and while there is a lot of repeat material, I find each one has something another doesn't. I've been using Bosun, Exampassr, the Cisco Pres book, the Cisco web site, and some other free resources. I'm happy with them all. Leave no stone unturnd!

If some of the older members of this forum will recall, the reason examp@sser was filtered from this site was because they went on a SPAMMING spree not only on this site, but on alt.certification.cisco and several other certification forums.

Just an fyi,
I feel like most of you that with more test the more money cisco will make, but, I have it from 2 sources that the ccnp will not exist pass this year. One source is an instructor for one of the get your cert deals at the tech places and the other is from cisco themself. IF there is any doubt call up cisco and prometric.

Suppose for the sake of argument that the CCNP is a dying cert. Why bother spending money on study materials for it, from exampa$$er or anywhere else? Why even waste our time in this forum?

The CCNP is not going away anytime soon. And if it is, then there's no point buying study tools to prepare for a cert that is going to go away in a few months.

If you believe otherwise, then I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn. Real cheap, too. (But you'd better hurry, because it's being demolished next week.)

Cheers,

Talked to a Cisco engineer just a minute ago. While I was taking care of the real reason for my call to Cisco, I decided to ask him about the NP certification being done away with. After he finished laughing and he came back to the phone, he said "hell no." From that point on I bacame the target of many jokes. But alas, who am I. Just your humble moderator digging in the trenches to bring you the the latest information.
