| Hey guys Im starting my cerification process. I have my CCNA and CCDA (Just recently) and I was told since I just finished the CCDA then I should take the CID exam because alot of the thinking for the design stuff will still be fresh in my head.
I have also heard that you should take this exam after completion of CCNP. I am halfway through th CID course and Im starting to have doubts?? Any suggestions??
Thanks

| In my opinion I would take all of the CCNP exams except possibly CIT & then finally take the CIT & CID exams to complete both your CCNP & CCDP. This is because of the indepth knowledge of Cisco technologies that the CID exam will pull on.
Hope this helps

| What percentage should I be getting on the Boson tests to make sure that Im ready to take the exams. Im not talking about memorizing the questions either?
Thanks | |
|
| Depends on which testnumber. Boson nr.1 is really hard and like the real exam, score 75% on this one, nr.2/3 are more easy, on which you should score 90% (if you have learned).
CCDA is completely different then CID (no cases, 100 questions) and you should better take the switching-,routing- and remote access exams first because you really need the knowledge learned from those exams.
good luck and suprise us by taking and passing CID without the 3 exams mentioned.
cheers | |

| I sat switching, routing, support and then CID. I sat finally remote access. That made me CCNP and CCDP at the same time. | |

| Ive been getting about 80 to 85 percent on Bosons 2 and 3 so I think Im gonna try tro really finish the CID course and then go for the exam. Its just that Ive gone this far and I think I can pass it.
If anyone has taken it can they tell me how much emphasis was on Stratcom Switches, SNA and ATM??
Thanks for all of your input.

| Hi,
First finish your CCNP then do for CID..it is easier like that.
DO THINGS THE EASIER WAY, IT IS EASIER ! !
Thanks | |

| I was going to do the same thing that you did but there is a reason that the CCDP is above the CCNP track. You need that additional information and training on Enterprise equipment to be able to plan Enterprise systems. It will be a massive up hill battle to get the CIT right after the CID.
Personally, I overstudied for the CID so much that the CCNP is going really fast. Switching and Dial-Up are two areas that you will need much more information on before taking on the CID.
Good luck!! | |

| Thanks for all of the input guys. I just think that If I start the CCNP stuff now Ill forget most of the CID Stuff. I know SNA ATM and Windows Networking arent hit as hard in the other CCNP exams.
Anyways let me know how the exam goes. Im gonna try to take it in 2 weeks. |
