I did get the script from the switch
you settings on the Hyper termianl

go to proprties

(look down at the bottom)

connect using

pick a com 1/2/3
then go to configure just below (connect using)

set 9600
8
none
1
none

---------------------
In the same box go to settings
pick

viewdata & VT100
---------------------
Go to font and pick one because if you don't
the data recieved will be garbled
---------------------

There are some problems I have not figured out yet

1. I had to change the password, I did
2. the read out has missspelled words wierd asc11
3. I can't find[k]- it is not listed in the output
4. my cat will not leave me alone
5. the (snap)crops the end of the scroll
6. I am tired of unplugging this switch, why did they not use an on/off switch

any more help would be apprciated

If you are getting wierd spellings and/or other characters, then you need to check the port settings in windows. You have a conflict with the flow control options on your machine. You may have it corectly in hyperterm, but wrong in windows.

Cool reamer
I have trashed hyper termnial
I now use Com 7.2 - it kicks
and I do have flow control off
