| funny thing happened today . . .
I was scheduled to sit an exam and arrived 15 mins. before I was to start. After signing in, etc., I was taken into the testing area to begin. When the exam administrator went to log me into the system, it gave an error message back stating that I was already logged in. Hhmmm, since I was standing there with the admin, I knew I wasn't taking the exam. After about an hour of the center, along with Prometric, trying to fix the problem, to no avail, I decided it was time to pack it in. I contacted Prometric while I was at the center and explained the situation to a supervisor. I then asked to not only be reimbursed for that seat (which they obvioulsly would do), but to also have the rescheduled seat be at the expense of Prometric. After all, it was my time that was wasted. They agreed and when I sit it next week, it will be free. HEY, I wonder how the other me did on the exam? Maybe I won't have to take it after all!! LOL

| You need not even be assertive. By their policy they will comp you the price of the exam if there is a screw up. Twice in my all too many exams there has been a screw up on their part and both times the replacement date was free. I didn't have to do anything.

| Yankee,
Perhaps things have changed a bit because Prometric didn't want to do anything except not charge me for the "screw up" and allow me to reschedule. The initial call taker said "no, we don't do that", which at that point I asked for a supervisor. He said he understood my position but had to go to his boss and put me on hold. When he got back on the phone it was a done deal. Point is in my case at least, they weren't going to give away something for free.

| Hi Jane55,
in the UK we each have a 7 digit candidate number with Sylvan for booking the test and then we have another number, 'SP' plus the same 7 digits (which I think is our Cisco id number) to key in when we sit the test.
Regards
