HI.

I need some help in vtp domain envoirment.

i have situation if i have a network with 9 cat switches & i have vlan 1,2,3 in vtp domian east with 3 switches & vlan 4,5,6 in vtp domain west with 3 switches & 7,8,9 in vtp domain north with 3 switches . router is configure for layer 3 switching.

vtp mode on domain is server for all switches so if i'll add/delete any vlan it will fwd all info on same vtp domain.if i wanna to change a switch from vlan 4,5,6 (vtp domain west mode server)to be a part of vtp domain east do i need to change mode to transparent first cuz if i'll
move the switch to another domain without changing mode .
it'll change my another two switches in east to west domain also.

plz help do i need to change vtp mode transparent or not.

What you need is ONE VTP domain for your switches. Switches in different domains don't communicate with each other.
