Hi, wonder anyone had tried the Sybex virtual trainer which comprised all the four modules necessary for CCNP. Can anyone advise if it is ok to purchase it (though it cost a bomb) and how different is it from purchasing those individual books from Sybex.

Any advice is truly appreciated consider this state of the economy

Tks a mil,

If you can not afford to buy Cisco 2500 routers or legacy 3000, simulators are a good thing. I tried the CCNA Virtual Trainer before but it lack some functionality. As far as the sybex books they typically follow the lab. There are other Sims that you can choose from so look around. There are so many different kinds that are popping out of the blue. Getting a feel for the cisco ios is the important thing. The cisco website should be your best friend. Good luck.
