| Not as tough as I was expecting. Boson tests are harder and COLT is much much harder. Fairly even split between basic routing concepts, OSPF, EIGRP and BGP. About 5 "pick the correct command", one drag and drop and the rest multiple choice. Picking the command is a pain. I know the right command but have to search through a list of 90-100 commands and find the right number. Wastes a lot of time. Still finished in about 20 minutes. 61 questions and about 20 of them were the simple obvious answer types. By the time I got to question 15 I knew that it was a pass.

| Congrats Tigger. Good Luck with the Switching. Are the COLT's that much harder. I scored 85% on one for BCRAN. I still wasn't sure whether to sit it yet or not.

| the COLT was much more difficult than the real thing for BSCN. I was feeling good to hit 50% on the COLT. COLT is much more indepth. I wish they used the same format for it as for the real test. Would be nice to have the same drag and drop type questions and the same "pick the command from the list" types of questions. The one drag and drop I had confused me for a minute. I had to take a second and really study the diagram before I understood what they wanted. The drag and drops were always the ones I hated with the microsoft exams. You never knew exactly how to do them properly.
If you're hitting 80% on COLT, I'd go for the real thing. Try the BOSON exams, too. If you score in the 80% on those, you're ready for the real one. Good Luck-- and remember- if you know what you're doing, then the test will be easy. | |

| Congrats Tigger,
I have passed my CCNA, i'm currently working on cvoice, and just after, i will try BSCN.
Some peoples has said to me that the exam is harder than the Boson questions.
I have the Cisco Bscn Book. I hope that can be enough !!!

| The boson tests were harder than the real thing. I read the cisco press book and the sybex book. sybex was a good book for general info but not good enough to pass the real thing. cisco press was a good solid book for the test. I thought the BGP stuff in cisco press was really clear. sybex book really didn't explain bgp that well.
but if you can score in the 80% range on the boson tests, you can pass the real exam with a good score. | |

| Congrats Tigger. I am preparing for the BSCN exam. I have the CiscoPress cert book and the boson exams. Again congrats and much success on obtaining your CCNP. |
