Dear Friends,

I am so ashemed while asking this..... Well, I cleared my CCNA in May, 2000 and right now I am preparing for my CCNP.

After clearing my CCNA, I mailed to Cisco about the requirements for CCNP... They replied that I need not to upgrade my CCNA 1.0 to CCNA 2.0... So, I was happy and preparing for CCNP....

Just now I was looking for CCNP materials on the net and found on lot's of sites that to do CCNP 2.0 one should complete CCNA 2.0.

So, friends, pl. let me know that for CCNP 2.0, CCNA2.0 is required or CCNA 1.0 will do? Pl. reply soon as I can't read properly as if I am not very sure that I am elligible to appear for CCNP or not????

You are safe. The requirements for CCNA 2.0 are for those people that do not currently have the CCNA 2.0 certification. If you are previously certified, (under CCNA 1.0) you have met the requirements for CCNP 2.0 and do not have to reaccomplish CCNA 2.0 prior to beginning the CCNP 2.0 track. I have a friend that just went through the CCNP track with a CCNA 1.0 cert. Good Luck.

CCNA 1.0 is fine. I made sure in the past.
I am working on CCNP. I passed already BCMSN and ready for BCSN in two weeks.
Good luck.
