smartforce.com CBT useful?
|

| I have heard smartforce.com CBT for CCNP is quite good and enough to pass the exam. However, I found the price is expensive.
Anyone actually using it to pass the exam?

| What you heard is in-correct. They are ok to give you a feel of the subject, but by no means cover all the material for any test.
I used them only to get my feet wet before reading cisco press.
Good luck.; | |

| That`s right. They are good for an introduction to the topic. They use a nice graphic rappresentation of network environment but definitely are not an alternative to Cisco press.
I had them free by downloading from a site which I think is no longer available.

| I got the smartforce CBTs as a bonus from work apart from the ICND course. And. I really have to say that while they they were they were OK, it's really nothing I would recommend anyone pay for at there own expense. From what I've seen, the cisco press ICND and the cisco press study guide (if you really wanna knoww your stuff) are much cheaper and better. Get your company to spend their mony on the cert. exams instead if you can, the cost of the CBTs are really not worth it.
(I didn't use the cisco study guide for my ccna, but I've had the chance of browsing through it after I took my ccna, and I must say it seems really excellent.)
