Does anybody have experience configuring Smart-Ups's with IP address and gateway, so you can plug ups into switch and monitor snmp??????????????????

the UPS has a console in the back and a 10bastT port to connect upto switch

Yep, have over 300 of them modeled so we watch them, but I'm not convinced it is really worth it.

If you have a network card in the UPS there is a whole section to set up for SNMP. Once you see that area it should be pretty self-explanatory.

Like most devices with console ports and ethernet ports, you will probably have to configure the UPS via the console port first, and (not definite, but probably) from there on out be able to control it via the network interface.

This is off topic (not CCNP cert information) , but I hope it helps.
