| hi all thanks for everyones continued help in this forum. Today i became a CCNP. Passed the CIT, not with flyinh colors unfortunatly.
I thought the test was worded horribly and felt it did not do a good job of testing my knowledge of the subject. a lot of isdn....
know frame relay and of course a host of show and debug commands.
I had 1 question on apple and maybe 2 on both token ring and IpX.
good luck to all.... i will still check this forum daily and im sure post many more questions myself.
As to the future perhaps you guys can offer suggestions??? My ultimate goal CCIE.......
what should i do next????? Cisco design????
or maybe ccie written????? or something else????
thanks again to all of you

| Congratulations!!!
I just passed my CIT test today and I'm already studying for the CCDP certification. I figure it will be worth having both certifications, and not to mention if I decide to write the CCIE written exam I'll have all the bases covered.

| Congrats 007!
Cisco Press has a great book for the CID if that's the direction you choose. You probably could pass the CCIE written with a little review but that should not get anyone over confident about the CCIE Lab. That's a horse of a different color

| 007,
I haven't planned out my game plan yet, to prepare for the CID exam. I do agree with Yankee though, that the Cisco Press book would be enough for the exam. As for other resources, I'm not too sure yet. Right now, I need to focus on passing the CCDA first and by then I should have the game plan ready for the CID exam.

| thanks to all of you.
I think i probably could pass the ccie written but the lab would be an over=-kill for sure.
im starting a new job on Monday as a newtork engineer for big software company. Ill be designing A new campus AND BUILDING out a campus jus designed. Pretty cool, they just bought 1.5 million $$$$$'s worth of cisco equipment to deploy. it will be me and 6 other guys.....
i hope this experience will teach what i need to pass ccie.....
till then i guess on to design.....

| That sounds awesome, that is what I would like to be involved in - setting up a large infrastructure with a few WAN links to boot.
I am chewing at the bit to leave my end user support / network administration job, and I better change fast because that fact slipped out of my mouth this week by accident. Unfortunately word travels fast, so I don't know how my management will react when they hear someone is planning on leaving their position soon. (fingers crossed) hope they don't hear it for a few weeks anyhow.
Masha'allah (arabic) for you getting this good break to help you hone your skills for the 'next level'
If you get room for a 7th person on your team in 3-4 weeks think of me. hehe. Congrats again. |
