I'm not here to hurt anyone but please please don't post human picture here. I love this site but whenever I see a post with a human picture, I simply leave. What is the reason to post your own picture??? You may be very proud of yourself, ok. I know there are sites which allow people to share pictures. Please do so there. DONT take this personally

EP-3,
"I know there are sites which allow people to share pictures. Please do so there"?
Seeing as webmaster (founder of Examnotes) has his picture on his posts, I would have to say that this is one of those sites that allow people to share pictures. We're all here for a common reason, and the pictures just make it a little more personal. People have the right to post their picture, don't take it personally.

I use my picture as my avatar because it was suggested to me by Dmitri (the webmaster) that I do so. I thought it was a good idea, so I did it.

It has nothing to do with being "proud of myself" as you said in your post - it has to do with making things a little bit more personal in the forums that I moderate.

And trust me - if it was because I thought I was special I would have used a way better picture than that one.

I don't see what the big deal is.

If I could, I would (having some problems with that . . . hint hint ). Anyway, don't take offense EP-3, but what's it to you? Why would you care if someone posts a picture of themselves as their avatar?
I think it's a great idea myself. In this world of IM, messageboards, e-mail, and other forms of faceless communication, it's nice to be able to see who you're talking to.

My avatar IS a picture of me. I must be the only non-human CCNP student. My office gets a bit messy with all that mud, lunchtime is a riot and I find it a little difficult punching commands in through my keyboard with such big feet. But life is fun in my mud-pool, and I don't even mind being purple!

My avatar is a picture of me to.
I'm the only dog student of this forum.

You can turn off display of "avatars" in your profile. I have done so. Among the benefits is quicker download.
