Hi everyone

I've just taken CIT 2.0 and passed with a score of 872..this was the final exam on my way to CCNP

I'd like to thank everyone here for all their comments/suggestions/help.

For anyone taking CIT soon, I recommend that you read the question over and over until you are sure of what is being asked...I found some of the questions very vague, and wasn't sure if I gave the correct answer or not

Anyway, thanks once again to everyone, and best of luck to all here who are on their way to CCNP!

Good Score, Well Done!

Of course we will ask you: What's up next?

After having done BCMSN in January / BCSN in February / BCRAN in March my mind is dried up and I can not get past the second chapter of the Cisco CIT book. Therefore, it is good to see a lot of guys passing recently, this gives me motivation, I will read a few pages tonight.

Anyway, this is your thread, good job! or in Dutch: gefeliciteerd!

Hi Sauur

Thanks a million...it was a great relief to see the "Congratulations" on the screen

I think I'll start immediately on the CCIE Written exam. I know how hard it is to get going again once you stop, so I can understand the "brick wall" you have hit in CIT. Don't worry, you'll get past it..just keep thinking of the goal at the end of the road

I'm lucky in that my employer is allowing me use some spare equipment to practice on (I have a cat 5000, two 4000 routers, a number of 2500 routers, and one of two 7000 routers I can play with)

I'd also like to ask the person who privately emailed me in request of a brain dump to knuckle down and study the subjects like everyone else here is doing. A few bad apples will devalue the certification for everyone

Thanks once again, and best of luck with CIT. I'm sure you'll pass with flying colours

I will try, but can not promise you those flying colors.

Why don't you try CCDP first, that way you have a solid foundation for the CCIE. Although, considering the highlevel equipment you have for practice (you lucky $%@*0), we can expect you to go for CCIE directly.

Funny, everyone new to the CCNP track expect to see braindumps flying around. Strange thing: there aren't any!. That makes the CCNP track so attractive and explains why we are all so proud of someone actually achieving this cert, because we know he/she really worked for it.

Cheers

Hi Sauur
I agree...thank goodness there are so few braindumps for CCNP, otherwise this would degrade the certification (something similar happened to the MCSE...it seems the dog in the street has this certification..apologies to anyone who has MCSE and feels offended...I have it myself, but as soon as I got it I realised how worthless it really is now that so many have it)

Anyway, I found that the best way I could knuckle down, was to register for the exam , say , three weeks before, then I knew that I had to study really hard.

How are things in the Netherlands job wise? Is there many openings for you there?

Just go to www.monsterboard.nl enter CCNP in the search pane (you can now) and press enter.

I guess for a cisco/microsoft specialist you can work almost anywhere. But Amsterdam is of course the place to be, you saw that right and I'm lucky to be here.

Congratulation!!!

I'm preparing my BCRAN exam next month, how was CIT exam? I've heard that only Cisco Press book is enough, is it? I'm quite new with Cisco coz I had experience only 10 month with it.

Hi kasuka

I found the CIT exam relatively easy compared with the routing exam. But on this forum I see that everyone has an exam which they find ok compared with the others. I have a few years experience in troubleshooting Cisco networks, so I didn't think this was too bad. The one thing I did notice about the exam though was how vague some of the questions were; half the time I wasn't quite sure what they were looking for

I found BCRAN to be ok as well...quite a few questions on Cisco equipment though..what certain LEDS indicated, etc.
Anyway, best of luck with BCRAN

congratulations your CCNP is a great accomplishment. I have the CIT left myself and hope to join your ranks soon.

Its great you have so much gear to practice with... I wish that was my case.

I wanted to let you know, if your interested the CCNP security specialization is being revamped...

you have until may 15th to pass 1 test the MCNS and you will have security spec....

For all ccnp's who dont complete the test by mid may,,, this trek will die,,, and the security trek will be (4 tests)....

It covers firewalls, vpns, cisco secure etc....

Anyway good luck on your journey..

One more ???? what was the percentage of applle and ipx questions on the exam.

thanks
