| I can't help but speak for myself and I'm sure I'm speaking for others on how disappointing this forum has gotten in the last few weeks. When I first started following this forum 95% of the material was relavant to honing your cisco skills or just flat out learning something new. Recently it seems like every other post has nothing relavant to cisco at all. We all come here for a reason, and hopefully that reason is to either learn or help someone else learn, not to pull out the torch and start flaming everything in sight. I'm sure I've bored all of you by now and I'm sure the torches are getting fired up so I will exit without further a do. | |

| Your right! Things have been a little crazy around here, but it's getting back to normal. As moderator I have tried to stay out of the way of the board, but now I am taking a more proactive approach. The old saying is "it's easier to ask for forgivness than for permission."
These things come and go, so hang around!

| I don't plan on going anywhere. And might I add I think you do a great job as moderator and it would be nice if everyone came here for the purpose of learning so it would make your job (the one you don't make any money doing) easier. Keep up the great work!!! | |

| Agreed. I rather liked comblues post about professionalism as well...
However this is "free speech" in action, though I wouldn't hold it against the moderators at all if they started deleting the irrelevant posts. Perhaps there is an administrative option to move threads into another category, one named "irrelevant posts" or something to that effect for instance.
Anyway I'm looking forward to answering some good IP routing questions since that seems to be my focal proficiency, I'll probably be asking some more layer1&2 questions in the near future after I pass BSCN.
BTW: Reamer, I recall you mentioning you worked for bellsouth in a prior post - in what capacity? Let me know if you work with any of the non-cisco aggregation or subscriber management equipment...

| Yes, this forum is great and WE must keep it clean. If everyone was tolerant there wouldn't be much problem ...
Do you know the Juniper equipment ?

| You're doing a great job, Reamer. Don't let a few get you down.

Wait a minute!!! Since when did the 1st Amendment include this forum? That's why there is a MODERATOR. If this forum is going to become a vehicle for anyone to "POP OFF" anything that they want too... then the owners should just shut it down.
