Author Adtran 512 as an ISDN Switch for Lab??

I read Hutnik/Satterlee's CCIE Lab book and noticed that they gave reference to using an Adtran Atlas 800 as an ISDN Switch for their labs.

ISDN Simulators are expensive
($ 1680.00+++)

I've found an ISDN Switch Adtran 512 with 4 ISDN interface and a V35 interface.

Anyone else done something similar?

I'm waiting on it via the mail.

Also RAD RSD-20 are Frame-Relay Switches which can be had for under $50.00.

Simple physical layer device that automatically does DTC ot DTE.

Why buy a 2520 series router when these real alternatives are available?

After all I understand that at the CCIE lab one is given a rack with the proper interfaces.

These are those interfaces or the competitor of them.

But I have not heard of anyone usinf them.

Has anyone used them?

Thanks
