Hi

How do folk feel about the following?
As I'm not in the US, I'm not sure how this will affect Cisco, or their public relations.
Does any of our Amernican friends have an opinion on this? Will it affect certification?
Thanks for any advice

This is not the first suit of this kind (it may the first for Cisco, but other companies have been sued for similar reasons.)

I have a very firm opinion about this: frustrated investors sue because to recover some money they lost because of their own greed and stupidity. Playing Russian roulette at the stock market is a risky business; you win or you loose. You know it before you start it. And if you didn't know it, it's too bad; you should've known. This being the case, I would say any sane judge will dismiss the case.

My two cents...

These people are just mad because they have to trade in their Lexus SUV for a Ford Festiva . . . heh heh.
I doubt this will effect Cisco very much . . . if at all. With the money Cisco has, their attorneys will shred this suit.

friend BlueBaron,
could you please let me use it as my avatar ? I'm asking you this as a favor.
Like this, i will never forget the threat we had together ?
It's a mark of respect and would please me so much.

Thanks BlueBaron

those crazy "so called" investors drink & drive when they make money. they blame you when they lost. dont you think they share the money they made, surely not. so dont blame someone when they lost.

I think I might become a deranged psychotic & use a picture of someone else as my avatar.

I do hope this is nothing sexual Dell.

Very strange indeed!!

A mark of respect? Like the respect you showed me when you originally adopted that avatar?
I'm still quite puzzled by it. I mean, it's a picture of ME. Why would you WANT to use it?
Very well . . . you may use it.

EP-3 (any reference to the spy plane?)

Anyway, please refrain from launching personal attacks on the members of this forum. This Dell vs. "whoever" saga has gone on long enough.
This is a quality board, and I wish to put this whole drama aside. Yes, I think Dell using my picture as his avatar is a little unusual. However, if it is as he says a "mark of respect" (and not ridicule as it originally was), then I will allow it.
Please, PLEASE, do not re-ignite another flame war.

In response to the post on the CISCO lawsuit...no need to worry...large corporations are sued on a daily basis.....they are insured to the hilt for this type of suit. If...and I mean a big IF anyhthing ever came of the suit, it would be settled out of court by the insurance company and we would never know the better. This is all assuming that the case is even made, from the looks of the article the law firm doesn't even have a lead plantiff ( most important in these suits) . As far as this arguing and slandering of one another on the board...that is a whole other matter. Please let's use this to answer our questions and further outr quest for knowledge. If you have a bone to pick with someone, do it on your own or just ignore one another. Thanks

Thanks to everyone for their input on this (even though we seemed to have lost track of what the original topic was in the first place!!)

You've really put my mind at ease, which is why I love this forum! Well done everyone
