| To All:
Will knowledge in programming help you out in the Cisco track. And if so, what language (java, kix32, etc. like writing script, etc.). I know in the server world, it is a very valuable knowledge but i am not sure in Router world....
Any input is appreciated.... | |

| And what about any other experience besides LAN...
Thanks again, guys... | |

Perl, shell scripting and expect can be handy for churning out configs and making config changes to a production network, but I rarely have any call for that. I don't think i've written a perl script in at least year and frankly I don't think I could program my way out of a cardboard box.
But I get by in the networking world anyway. Barely.
