I think I could make better sense of this sentence if you included a little bit more, I think there is probably more to this sentence, looks like you copied it in the middle. Give us some more to work with so we can help you.

BGP is pretty complex...as Im sure you've found out from studying....It can get really crazy on you...Ive found myself slaving over routers for hours trying to figure it out and get it configured correctly...as to your question....this is one of the reasons not to use BGP..If you have little understanding of it and the path selection process it uses then you can really be in for some "extra" time trying to figure out what you did wrong. Before I began the CCNP study's I knew how to configure BGP from a cheet sheet with the proper configurations...but I couldnt do it on my own or fix anything that broke...When it does break it plain sucks! at least now I know how to fix it!

I understood it
it is one of the reason for not use BGP,
if you are not care about BGP path selection and understand what routes policies are using, you need not use BGP protocol.
most of cases when confusing by my poor english. when net friends explain it in simple english, it was clear, thanks again.

| Thanks for the offer of the CBT's...I have the cbt systems stuff here...The Company I work for (U.S. Military) has a subcription to them....I have the BSCN cbt here...I have some good BGP Slide presentations if you want them...
