Here is a question from another post.

4) In fiber optic interface, which of the following used to check asymmetric connectivity?
a) one side interface is multimode and the other side is single mode
b) one side is half-duplex and other side is full duplex
c) one side cable is transmit and the other side is transmit/receive
d) one side cable fail and the other side forwards
e) one side is datalink straight and the other side is crossover

I guess C. One side is up, the other side isn't getting the receive fiber. Sounds asymmetric to me.
