| Hello,
some x25, some frame relay, some isdn...
a few questions that I didn't understand at all and had to 'work through the answers'.
Lots of command questions, but you chose the correct command from a list of about 80 and type it in, so if you have a reasonable idea then you can easily select the right answer.
Also, some of these command questions asked about setting up a particular 'thing', say it specified a group number of 20, and there was only one command on the list with a '20' in it so it was obviously that answer...
I must have had six questions like that, real give-aways!

| Hi guys,
mbeaver, go for it! Don't let it throw you if you get a few 'stcky' questions, there's loads of easy ones too...
haseeb_eng, I found it much harder than switching so you must have a different skill-set to me.
Regards

| hay peter i find routing most difficult
navid remember each and every command from the BCRAN book . It is well said that even if you know commands then also you can pass this exam ( i am sure you will not only learn the commands )

Well Navid, and others about to do your BCRAN. The advise given in this thread is SPOT ON. I just sat the BCRAN and passed with 830. Would like to have done better, but that is the way the cookie crumbles!
Passing score is 703.
So, the stuff to know as mentioned b4:
x25 - heaps of Q's
ISDN- heaps of Q's
FR - heaps of Q's
PPP - heaps of Q's
DDR - heaps of Q's
Pick the router - a few Q's
WIN95 - one Q's
C700 - a few
AAA - a few
backup - 4 to 5 Q's
Type the command from the list - F#%$king lots of them, good easy marks.
So basically everything all the exam topics were covered, but more on x25, isdn, FR, ddr.
Yippie 3 down 1 to go :-)))

| Hello mariolombardo,
congratulations on your pass!
You'll not be so happy when you get to chapter two of the Ciscopress CIT book...it takes around 3 months to read it! I've read shorter novels... :-)

| peterd,
Thanks for that.
I'm actually using the Cisco Exam Certificate Guides for my study. There are fairly concise, which is good if you sort of know the stuff. I have been lucky to have hands on for a few years now.
With regards to support, I've been working in various network op's jobs doing install/support for netware, win9x/NT and cisco for a little while now, so I hope that this will help with the support/CIT exam.
But if you have any tips, they would be appreciated.
Cheers

| Hi,
sorry, no real tips other than to read the book. Sounds like you have far more experience than I do and should do OK, as long as you answer questions with what Cisco expects.
Actually cisco aren't too bad but I noticed some of the questions that Microsoft set are based on the 'world according to MS'...not as you'd expect to find it in real life.
Give the answer that they expect, pass the exam, and go back to thinking whatever it was you thought before.

| yup i do agree with peter chapter 2 realy sucks . some guys gave cit exam and they tried to apply their real life experience in that so they failed and next time they gave exam from the book so they pass it | |
