| Pay $400. for this router. Is this a good price?
Cisco 1602 - one Ethernet, one serial with integrated 56-kbps DSU/CSU, one WAN interface card slot. Supports synchronous serial connections - such as Frame Relay, leased lines, Switched 56, and X.25. Has 8Mb DRAM and 4Mb Flash RAM. Unopened in the factory box.

| The only prices I've seen lately on the cisco 1600 series run between $900 to $1000. I don't think you were ripped off. I don't price routers very often though. | |

| That is not bad. I bought a 1601 no csudsu for 350. That was about 6 months ago now I can probably get the same rout for 265. Thsi has been the price for the last two or three routers I have had an eye on. Who ever bys a router make sure you ask if you are getting power supply, and flash with ios and crossover cable so you can use hyperterminal to connect. | |

| I think mikeghet means a rollover cable, there is a difference.
It's normally a flat blue cable, pins are 1 to 8, 2 to 7 etc. I believe from recent posts that the colour can change.
I reckon you got a good price, especially as it's straight out of the box. in the UK I'm pretty sure you can be paying that just for a WIC card.

| Anyone know a good uk site for cheap routers & switches ? | |

| Hello,
www.prodec.co.uk have new and second-hand routers, etc at reasonable prices. They also do 'training packs' of two routers and cables, etc.
