| Without breaking Cisco's NDA, are there any questions on X.25 in the BCRAN exam and what does the exam heavily focus on.

As I recall from the BCRAN section of Foundation (which i'm pretty sure is just a standard BCRAN exam anyways,) there were only 2 or 3 X.25 questions.
The things to remember are:
1. X.25 addressing is specified by the X.121 standard
2. You can have either PVC connections (rare) or more commonly need to configure SVCs to a known X.121 address. The commands for configuring P/SVCs are in the BCRAN book in the chapter on X.25 (besides, i've forgotten them,) so I won't go in to them here.
3. You specify mappings in a similar way to frame relay, i.e. x-25 map ip (ip address) (x.121 address) {broadcast}
4. X.25 is an older protocol than frame relay, with more error correction information and thus higher overheads.

No, i'm still working on it 
I'm doing CIT this Monday and CID a week or so after that, then 350-001 is tentatively scheduled for some time between Xmas and the new year.
The BCRAN exam (or the foundation RAS section) focuses heavily on ISDN, Frame Relay, Dialer interfaces, and the ten thousand times cursed Cisco 700 router. I would recommend picking up a copy of Transcender's RemoteAccessCert if you don't already have a copy, as the practice exams contained therein bore more than a passing resemblance to the real thing.
The other thing to note is that at least on the exam I did, not all the questions were multi-choice. At least 10 questions presented a list of IOS and IOS-700 commands and prompted me to pick the most appropriate one from the list.

| Hello,
I probably had 15 questions on commands, nice and easy assuming you have a good idea of what the answer should be! Also about eight questions on choosing the right router for particular locations.
As mentioned in previous responses, many questions on ISDN, Frame Relay and dial-up services. A few on x25, probably only a couple now I think of it.
One question on networking with Win95.
Total number of questions on my exam was 77 in 90 minutes with a pass mark of 703.

| Sidodgers and Peterd thank you for your replies. Now I have a good idea on what to concentrate on. I'm scheduled to take the exam on 12/6 and I'll let you know how I did.

| I guess everyone had a different test than I did. I had up to 10 questions on x.25. I passed the exam so that is all that matters. Good luck on your exam |
