Hi,

I just like to ask what tool or software will I use to test my network vulnerability? or what do you think the hackers used to know what particular port to attack aside from port scanner?

Thanks.

Hi!

You can find lots of free security tools at www.securityfocus.com...

In my opinion, the ISS scanners are the best vulnerability checking tools around, altought they aren't free...

Retina is so easy to use, it's bordering on offensive, as is the price (around a thousand tusks). Trial version is free, however.

I'm personally a big fan of Nessus, the Open Source and very powerful security scanner. Coupled with nmap, you've got a fairly nice setup.
