I got my CCNA last year and I want to go for my CCNP. Any suggestions on which tests to take first and what books/software I should get. Thanks!

| well i think so you should go the proper way
1-BSCN
2-BCMSN
3-BCRAN
4-SUPPORT
but for exams it depends on you . I took tutions of ccna & ccnp first and then i went for exams but 1st i gave BCRAN & BSCN and now i will give BCMSN exam on this saturday . So now it is up to you what you wana go for . But i will suggest you to go for BCRAN exam first

| Get one of the Cisco Press CCNP sets. You can either buy the Certification Guides or Prep Library. The Cert Guides come with cd's that have test questions, flash cards, etc. but the Prep books don't. I think the Prep books may be a little bit more in depth, though. | |

| OK, sorry to interrupt here.. This is how I took my Cisco tests:
CCNA
Switching
Routing
Bcran
CIT
I suggest you take the CIT test last because you are going to actually see some repeats (questions) on that test. I did not find that test real hard but there are many people who is telling me that the test is hard... but hey don't sweat it.. its not hard.. let us know what will be your choice..

| I did Remote access
routing
switching
support.
Follow your stengths
Mine was IP and routing and WANS so I did it in the way mentioned above.
PS:

Does Cisco have a "proper" or proscribed order to take them?

| wHERE would you fit in the CCDA should a person take it before the CCNP series of tests or after and just before the test that will give you the CCDP | |

| well in retrospect I can see how the CCDA would facilitate the CCNP tests as ther would be an increased level of comfort in cisco technology going into the CCNP track.
I am getting ready to take the CCDA test in a couple of months after I upgrade my MCSE then onto CID. |
