| i'm studying (cisco press, CCO, this site) for the BCMSN that i'll be taking Jan-31 and have a couple of questions.
1) i assume i should be familiar with ISL and 802.1q, but how intimately should i be with the frame format?
2) i understand BPDUs and am familiar with some of its content, but wonder how well i should know each component within the BPDU. should i spend extra time to memorize the contents and the assoicated number of bytes?
3) i'm focusing on VLANs, VTP, STP, MLS, and IP Multicasting. is there anything else i should be hitting hard? so far it all seems to be coming together fairly well.
4) what about switch components and specs (backplane capacity, slots, etc.)?
5) anything else?
thanx in advance for any insight anyone has to offer.

| ok. less than 24 hours to go. if anyone has any home-stretch advice, now is the time.
a lot of comments suggest this isn't a command oriented test despite the sheer quantity of commands (VTP, VLANs, STP, MLS, etc.).
anyway, thanx in advance.
