| Passed BCRAN this morning with 875!! Thanks to all on this site for your great posts. What I used: Cisco press BCRAN and BOSON exams as well as Cisco's web site. It took me about 6 weeks of intense studying to feel comfortable enough to take this test, which by the way should not be taken lightly. | |

| Tulcingo:
I thought that you are my hero who got such a great scroe in BCSN, now I got it: You just have better cheating skill, that's all.
Why bother to take the exam, the cert will be worthless in your hands any way. I feel sorry for you.
|
| Is not about cheating... Is about asking questions on which software to use. When I say to email me is to share practice questions and Cisco PPT presentations and since this is against the site I do not post it on this board. This is just to let you know.... FYI | |
|
| Ok cryptogirl, go to this link and go down to my last post. It tells you what to read to pass this test... http://www.examnotes.net/ubb/Forum21/HTML/000872.html
ohhh and this is the cisco press ofcourse... good luck I am taking my bcran test tomorrow. I am getting good scores on the boson test and tried out the ccprep practice questions. CCPREP, I think this another source I am so lucky to have purchased because their questions are very very good. You should try them out for all CCNP/DP practice questions studies. As many of us have said... Boson are way much more harder than the real one, so if you get good scores you will make it...

| Good luck Tulcingo on your BCRAN test, and thank you for directing me to your post about the Cisco Press material. I did not email you in fear that you were only going to ask me what the questions were on the test. I can assure everyone that this is not my game, I studying very hard and don't ever plan on handing over my hard work, on the other hand I am willing to help anyone who has general questions and is in need of clarification. I also except any help that is offered (no dumps or answers to test questions) that will steer me in the right direction. Thanks again to everyone for making this a respectable site and a productive place to go, especially when motivation is needed. | |
|
| any last minute info I should know before sitting for the bcran test? I am taking it in a few hours... all I know is that I will be getting alot of commands isdn and frame relay... | |
|
|
|
| If you used the Cisco press on this one then you will be well prepared for the test. Know your equipment well and compression types as well, and of course the usual things like isdn, frame, modems........ Good luck | |
|
| congratulations cryptogirl!!! all your hard work is paying off.
I have CIT set for Feb. 10 and then I'm done and on to CCIE.
Are you going in that direction when you finish?
|
| Hershey,
I gather from your post concerning a female forum that you too are female, great to speak to another female working towards the same goals. Yes eventually the ultimate goal is CCIE. Wow, I'm impressed, one more test and your a CCNP, that's really cool. Good luck on the CIT exam in Feb. BCRAN was my first in this track and I've started working on the BSCN study's, in fact my whole weekend is slated just for this cause!! I'm currently a full time student working on my A.S. in Computer Network Engineering and will be graduating in July (finally!)My goal is to be a CCNP by the time I graduate. No I am not a young teenager, I'm in my 30's, have been an electricain for the last 14 years and decided it was time to use my brain instead, so now I'm in school and for hands on I've been doing a series of interships with some consulting groups as well as a co-op at the college. On Sunday's me and a couple of guys meet in a office wear house where a make shift lab is set up and we run through some labs, I'm the first in the group to attempt and pass an exam.
Hershey, have you always been in this field? any good advice for the new commer? Congrats again on your success and hardwork.

| Yes, it is good to speak to another woman in the field. Not that many of us. Most women seem to lean toward programming, help desk, and now a lot are in CIW.
I've got about 6+ year working in the field. Mostly systems admin. But I really like routers and the entire concept.
Good luck on your BSCN. Of the three I've done, that was the toughest one for me. I used Cisco Press's book and a few study guides I scraped up like the one on examnotes and brainbuzz. Didn't do any of the practice tests from Boson or anybody.
My test was pretty evenly balanced over all the areas. No one thing stood out.

| Congratulations! Well done. Glad to see more of us around!
I am just starting with CCNA, just did MCSE in Dec.
Any tips?
All the best,
GalaxyGal | |
|
| I know you can do it galaxy, pero no entiendes study and take the damn test.... and you will see how good it feels when you get to CCNP. Just go do it girl... | |
|
| Hi, galaxygal. Congrats on your MCSE. I got mine last July. It felt good to finish it. Have to update it now, though. But not until I finish some other stuff.
If you did that, you can definitely do your CCNA and then CCNP if you want to. The main thing is that your mind has the "right programming" to understand the stuff, and your mind obviously does.
Good luck on your CCNA and then your CCNP, too, because I know you won't be able to resist after you finish your CCNA. It's like Lay's Chips. You can't have just one.

|
| Crytogirl maybe you can give me some tips on the BCRAN. I just got my BSCN today and got my BCMSN two weeks ago. Please, give me some tips on what they covered heavily. Congratulations on your BCRAN! I struggle not to become a nerd in my job. They try to assimilate me though. I must resist transformation. I must! I must! |
