| I just found there was a forum on examnotes for women. That is so great!!!!
Just wanted to let any other ladies here in the CCNP forum know that weren't aware of it. Evidently it started around the middle of December.

| It's called IT Career Women Forum. If you look at the menu across the top of the window, you will see home/top sites/ etc....
at the end it has the forums. Click on that and the list of forums opens up and it's right there. It's not real active yet because it just started, but I think it's a great idea.

| Hershey, I saw that you are studying for the CIT and after that you will start on your CCSE. I also going that way. Actually I am starting with Nortel and then to Checkpoint. When are you taking the CIT? I am taking it on the second week of February and hope to pass. | |

| If time permits, I'm set to take the CIT February 10th. And then I'll do Checkpoint. The prerequisite for CCSE is CCSA and so that will take me through probably the end of March.
Good luck on your CIT. I'm using both CIT Ciscopress books. Laura Chapell and the new one. | |

| The forum is here, part of examnotes forums, so if you look at the top of the page, the line that has home/top sites/search web/etc, at the end of that line where it says examnotes forums, click that and the IT Career Women's Forum is listed there.
Like I said, it's small, but I think it will grow because obviously it's helpful for women in the field to be able to get together and discuss some issues that may not face the men in the field, i.e., how many men, while working as systems admins have had somebody come up to them and say, oh, my secretary is busy and I heard you were a fast typist, would you mind typing this for me? I would wager not many. | |

| Yes, exactly. I like when I go to Home Depot to buy some junction boxes or circuit breakers, some joker always has to try to act like I'm an idiot because I'm a woman, saying things like "do you know what your buying there little lady" I've been an electrician for many, many years and this guy thinks he knows more then me because he's a guy and works at HOME DEPOT!! I'm constantly getting this kind of thing happening to me, it really sucks, but like you say, gotta laugh, and I usually do!! |
